What type of positions and work schedules do we offer?
The Hunterdon County YMCA has part-time positions available in a variety of areas. Our employees enjoy many benefits and opportunities for growth, as well as flexible scheduling. Additionally, we are open over 100 hours per week and have 20 locations around the county, and it's very likely that we have an employment schedule to fit your needs. Please note that all new hires will complete CPR and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire

BE-FIT ROOM INSTRUCTORS
Location: Deer Path Branch
Hours: P/T, Mon, Wed, Fri-4 to 8pm; Sat-9am to 12 noon. Must work minimum two days per week.
Duties: Establish relationships, guide 8-12 year old members on use of fitness equipment.
Skills Needed: Knowledge of equipment and good communication skills required.

LIFEGUARDS
Location: Deer Path Branch
Positions Available: Immediately
Skills Needed: Lifeguarding certification including current CPR & first aid.
Hours Needed: Monday through Friday, after school

MEMBERSHIP SERVICE ASSOCIATES
Location: Deer Path Branch
Hours: P/T, various weekend shifts.
Duties: Greet members, process memberships/class registrations, address members’ concerns, give tours to prospective members.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS
Location: Deer Path branch
Position Available: Ongoing
Hours: Monday through Friday, after school
Duties: Experienced instructors needed to teach swim lessons to children.

SENIOR CENTER SUBSTITUTES
Location: YMCA Senior Center, Bunvale Church, Glen Gardner
Hours: P/T subs, as needed basis, for programs running Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30am-3pm.
Skills Needed: Strong interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with seniors

SWIM COACHES (2)
Location: Deer Path YMCA & Raritan Valley Community College
Hours: P/T, 5-10 hours per week, evenings/weekends, starting September
Duties: Prepare workouts, meet entries, team building activities and attend meets.
Skills Needed: We are looking for energetic, motivational coaches with swim instruction experience. Competitive coaching experience preferred. Organization, communication and computer skills are required. Our swim team consists of approximately 200 swimmers from novice to Y National caliber training and competing out of the Deer Path Branch and the Raritan Valley Community College pools.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS/CAREGIVERS
Location: Round Valley Child Learning Center, Annandale
Hours: P/T, various shifts, as needed basis.
Duties: Work with children 6 weeks-5 years of age.
