What type of positions and work schedules do we offer?

The Hunterdon County YMCA has part-time positions available in a variety of areas. Our employees enjoy many benefits and opportunities for growth. Several areas afford the chance for flexible scheduling. Add to that the fact that we are open to our members over 100 hours per week and have 20 locations around the county and it's very likely that we have an employment schedule to fit your needs.

CHILD LEARNING CENTER CAREGIVERS

Location:  Round Vally Child Learning Center

Hours Needed:  Part time, 5 days per week, 7am to 1:30pm shift and 3 to 6pm shift.

Skills Needed:  Must love children.  Prior child learning center experience is a plus but not required.

FITNESS CLASS INSTRUCTORS

Location:  Deer Path Branch

Hours needed:  Various days and times of classes

Skills Needed:  Hip hop instructors and step instructors.  Step instructors must be certified.

HEAD COUNSELOR - ROUND VALLEY KINDER CAMP

Location:  Round Valley Branch

Hours Needed:  Monday-Thursday, 9:15am-1:15pm from June 23-August 14

Skills Needed: Experienced, mature, enthusiastic, loving person to work with children 3-5 years old

LIFEGUARDS

Location: Deer Path Branch and Camp Carr Day Camp
Positions Available: Immediately for Deer Path, Beginning June 16 for Camp Carr

Skills Needed:  Lifeguarding certification including current CPR & first aid.
Hours Needed: Lifeguards needed for various shifts.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS

Location:  Deer Path YMCA

Position Available:  Ongoing

Hours:  Late afternoon, evening, Saturday mornings
Duties:  Experienced instructors needed to teach swim lessons to children.

TEACHERS/ASSISTANT TEACHERS/SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

Location: Round Valley Child Learning Center
Positions Available: Immediately

Hours Needed: Full time - 8am-5pm 5 days per week working with 1-2 year olds. 

                    Part time, various shifts including 7am-1:30pm, 3-6pm shifts, 5 days per week.

Skills Needed:  Previous experience working with and caring for children helpful.
